We had such a fun and social experience during our stay at Downtown River. The staff organized an amazing pub crawl night out of town for us, and we had a blast! The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed, and the kitchen was a great social area where we met new people and enjoyed card games. The location was excellent, close to attractions and supply stores. The staff were also very helpful with directions. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

One drawback was that our room was located close to the road, so it was a bit noisy. We also had some issues with the drains in the showers, as the water would spread all over the shower room.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! the staff at Downtown River was incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave me a great rundown of local places of interest on a free map, which was really useful. the kitchen in the hostel was amazingly well-equipped, and there was always good music playing. I also loved the fact that they organized kayaking trips, hiking trips, and pub crawls at affordable prices. It was a fantastic way to meet fellow travelers. the location of the hostel was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the bus and train station, as well as the beach. Highly recommended!

Great location right across the river from the bus station. We loved being able to explore the town and hang out on the beach during the day and at night. The air-conditioned room was a relief from the heat. And despite some drawbacks, the staff were friendly and helpful. a decent place to stay in San Sebastian.

The clean and spacious dorm room provided a comfortable space to rest. Although there were some issues with the facilities, such as the shower doors not locking and an incident with an intruder, the overall experience was positive. The location is convenient, allowing easy access to all the must-see attractions. The kind and helpful staff added to the positive atmosphere of the hostel. I would recommend Downtown River for its sociable ambiance and great location.

During our stay at Downtown River, we were thrilled to find the hostel in a convenient location near the bus and train stations. With just a short walk, we found ourselves surrounded by vibrant bars, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. The male staff members, including Ben, Josh, and Mario, were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about San Sebastian and the local culture. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour and pub crawls organized by the hostel.

Although the common space was limited to the kitchen, it was well-equipped for our needs. We had a clean, friendly, and fun stay at Downtown River, and we would definitely return in the future!

Walked 8 minutes to Old Town full of tapas bars, had a shared kitchen and lounge with a tour desk, luggage storage, library, and laundry services. Free WiFi and close to the train station and La Concha Beach.

The spacious showers were a pleasant surprise, and the fact that our room was on the ground floor made it easy to manage our luggage. The hostel is conveniently located just a couple of minutes walk from both the train and bus stations. It made it super easy for us to explore the city and also catch our transportation to other destinations. the hostel had all the necessary amenities, including a kitchen with cooking facilities and a nearby supermarket. the friendly receptionist went above and beyond to help us find a printing service, even though it was late at night. Thanks to her, we were able to get our boarding passes printed in Barcelona. we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Downtown River to fellow travelers!

Good location for the price, close to train station and old town. Clean bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. Well-equipped kitchen and good wifi access. WiFi and bathroom facilities worked well, great for meeting other travellers. Nice atmosphere.

I recently stayed at Downtown River in San Sebastian for a few nights and had a great experience. The hostel is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the train station and a short 25-minute walk from the bus station. The receptionist, a very helpful and friendly Latvian girl, went above and beyond to assist me with finding a printing service late at night. The hostel also has a kitchen with all the necessary cooking facilities, and there is a supermarket just a 10-minute walk away. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed-side lamps in the rooms.

I highly recommend this hostel.
